Adoption Lawyer with Over 25 years of Experience Advocating for Children and FamiliesTammi J. Driver

I practice adoption law exclusively and am Board Certified in adoption law by The Florida Bar and a Fellow of the prestigious Academy of Adoption & Assisted Reproduction Attorneys.

I began working in adoption as a licensed mental health counselor, counseling expectant mothers and conducting home studies of prospective adoptive parents. I have been the director of legal services and the executive director of two of the largest adoption agencies in the state of Florida.

I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in psychology, magna cum laude, from Western Kentucky University in 1988 and received my master’s degree in educational psychology with a concentration in community counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1989. After working as a therapist, administrator, and consultant, I decided to earn a law degree to better advocate for children and families.

In 2005, I earned my law degree with honors from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. After graduating from law school, I practiced in the areas of domestic violence, disability advocacy, and insurance defense before focusing my practice on adoptions.

I cannot imagine a more rewarding practice. I feel blessed every day for the opportunity to help create families and guide birth parents and adoptive parents through their adoption experience.
